This is a small, friendly and thriving horticultural and craft Show held annually on the third Saturday in August in The Barlow, Edgworth.


It has been a focal point of village life since the early 1900's and has been held in its present format since 1974.

Scope


  

The Show is open to a wide range of exhibitors, whether members of our Society or not. There are specific classes for novices and juniors.

The Show covers some 200 classes over a wide range of exhibits:

  • vegetables
      
  • cookery
  • fruit
      
  • eggs
  • flowers
  • art
  • floral art

  • handicrafts

  • photography

Prizes



Prize cards and prize money are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class. Cups and Trophies are awarded for the most points and for the best exhibit in the various groups or classes.


These are presented by a different local celebrity each year and over recent years they have been invited to nominated a charity of their choice to which the raffle proceeds are donated.
